Life is Good...

I created this LO for the Scrap the Boys March Challenge "Life is Good".  The criteria was also to include hand written Journaling (not my friend) and the colour red. So check out my LO below

This photo was taken on a recent holiday I took with my husband and out best friends to the USA.  So the title Life is God seemed only too appropriate.  I also added a sub title "with friends at your side"

Because the photo was taken at a theme park I wanted to give the LO a fun carnival feeling, So I made a cute little Pinwheel and wanted it as the main focal point.  I also made some cute Admit one tickets as a border and thought they were perfect.

Bird Is the Word Challenge

I decided it was time to change things up a little with my LOs, so I went looking for inspiration on my new favourite website "Pintrest".  I found a LO that I loved and used it as inspiration for the Bird Is The Word Discover Challenge.

I just love the travel rub on set I used in the LO and although I'm am not a fan of hand writing my journaling it worked well with this LO.

Kraft It Up!

Well today I created a LO for the Kraft It Up February Challenge "Love".  I used a photo from our recent holiday to the USA and some new papers from the My Minds Eye, Stella Rose Collection.

I just cant get enough of the colours in this Layout.

I wanted to add some journaling but I also wanted to keep it hidden, so I tucked it in behind the photo.

Card Crazy

It appears that I have gone a little card crazy lately.  I recently took part in an online card making class and have been spending hours making cards inspired by the techniques they taught.  So first up is a cute set of 3 cards inspired by the class.

I recently got a few new Hero Arts stamp sets including the lotus stamp used in the cards above but my favourite was a set of cute little monsters.  So I made a couple of simple kids cards.  The one below I made to send to my Nephew.

And I learnt last year that you can never have to many spare Birthday Cards.  I have 8 nieces and nephews and last year I couldn't keep up with making all there Birthday cards.  So this year I will be way more organised, thats the plan anyway.  

I do still have another 4 cards to share but unfortunately I cant find my camera at the moment and i was not very happy with the way the photos above turned out off my Iphone so once i find my Camera I will get the other cards posted.

Party Girl

Me beautiful sister is always ready to party and is not afraid to strike a pose, so I have created my LO for the Show us your Stuff Jan 1st Challenge using a photo of her at our brothers 21st Birthday.

I have noticed that I am becoming obsessed with using paint on my LOs, I really just cant get enough of it.

Promise 2012

The Bird is the Word Jan 1st Challenge really appealed to me because after an emotionally draining  2011 I have put myself in a new frame of mind for 2012 and the Promise challenge was the perfect opportunity for me put my feelings into motion.  The Challenge was to use the word "Promise" in a layout, so I have used this challenge as my promise to myself for 2012.

   

I had a great night working on this LO at my BFFs last night and it is actually one of the first LOs I have completed in one night, usually I will work on my LOs in dribs and drabs until I feel like its done.  Shows how time fly's when you are having fun.
